UPI payment for restaurant orders, inside the chat
Customers pay by UPI, card or net banking through Razorpay, or choose cash on delivery if you allow it. Paid orders are marked paid in your dashboard automatically, so nobody checks screenshots. Connect your own Razorpay account and Tezzu charges no platform fee on those payments.
- UPI, cards and net banking through Razorpay
- Cash on delivery you can switch on or off
- Connect your own Razorpay account, zero platform fee on payments
- GST bills for every order
How it works
- 1
Customer confirms the order
After picking items and sharing an address, table or pickup time, the customer sees the order total and picks a payment method.
- 2
Pays by UPI, card or cash
Online payments go through Razorpay, in the chat or on the store page. Cash on delivery appears only if you have turned it on.
- 3
Order is marked paid
A successful payment marks the order paid in the dashboard and on the staff app, so your team knows what to cook and what to collect at the door.
- 4
Money reaches your account
Connect your own Razorpay account and payments settle from Razorpay to your bank, with no platform fee from Tezzu on those payments.
Every common method
Customers pay the way they already do. Razorpay handles the gateway, so UPI apps, cards and net banking all work.
- UPI through any UPI app
- Debit and credit cards and net banking
- Cash on delivery as an option you control
- Stripe and USD plans for merchants in the US
Your own Razorpay account
If you already have a Razorpay account, connect it in the dashboard. Payments then run on your account and Tezzu charges no platform fee on them.
- Connect from the dashboard in a few minutes
- Payments settle to your bank from your Razorpay account
- No platform fee from Tezzu on those payments
- Keep Tezzu's Razorpay setup if you would rather not manage a gateway
Bills, GST and cash
Every order can print a GST bill on a thermal printer. Cash on delivery orders are marked as cash, so your delivery staff know what to collect at the door.
- GST bills with your business details
- Thermal printing at the counter
- Cash on delivery marked clearly on each order
- Orders, revenue and customer insights in the dashboard

Frequently asked questions
How do customers pay for a WhatsApp order?
After confirming the cart, the customer gets a payment step inside the chat. They pick UPI, card or net banking and complete the payment through Razorpay, or choose cash on delivery if you have enabled it. Once the payment succeeds the order is marked paid in your dashboard, so you do not need to check screenshots.
What does it cost to take online payments?
Tezzu charges a flat ₹10 per order and no commission, on every plan. If you connect your own Razorpay account, Tezzu adds no platform fee on those payments and Razorpay bills you directly for its gateway charges. If you use Tezzu's own Razorpay setup instead, a platform fee applies on online payments.
Can I offer cash on delivery?
Yes. Cash on delivery is a toggle in your settings. When it is on, customers see it as a payment option next to UPI and cards. The order is marked as cash so your delivery staff know to collect at the door. You can switch it off any time, for example during festival rushes when prepaid orders are easier to manage.
Do I need a Razorpay account to start?
No. Tezzu's own Razorpay setup can take UPI and card payments for you. Connecting your own Razorpay account is optional and worth doing once volume grows, because Tezzu then charges no platform fee on those payments. You can connect it later from the dashboard without changing anything for customers.
I am in the US. Does Tezzu work with Stripe?
Yes. US merchants are billed in USD on plans at $49, $69 and $99 a month plus $0.50 per order, and customer payments run through Stripe. The ordering flow on WhatsApp and the store page is the same; only the currency and the gateway change.
