KOT printing for WhatsApp orders
Every confirmed order, from WhatsApp, the store page or a table QR, prints a kitchen order ticket on your thermal printer the moment it comes in. Items, variants, add-ons and notes in large text; a GST bill for the customer printed separately at the counter.
- Auto-print the KOT when an order is confirmed
- Works with 58mm and 80mm ESC/POS thermal printers
- Separate printers for the kitchen and the counter
- GST bills with your logo and tax breakdown
How it works
- 1
Connect a printer
Use the thermal printer you have or buy any standard ESC/POS model, 58mm or 80mm. Set it up from the dashboard and choose what prints where.
- 2
Orders print on confirmation
When an order is confirmed, the KOT prints in the kitchen with a sound alert. Turn auto-print on and nobody has to press anything.
- 3
Kitchen cooks from the ticket
Items, quantities, variants, add-ons and customer notes in large bold text. Table number for dine-in, order type for delivery and pickup.
- 4
Bill at the counter
The customer bill prints on the counter printer with your logo, GST breakdown and footer. Combined bills and a cash drawer are supported.
The kitchen ticket
A KOT is for cooks, so it shows what to make in text you can read from across the counter.
- Items, quantities, variants and add-ons
- Customer notes and cooking instructions
- Order type: dine-in, pickup or delivery
- Bundle contents listed item by item
Bills and GST
Customer bills print separately with your business details, GST breakdown and a custom footer. The same bill prints whether the order was paid online or in cash.
- GST breakdown on every bill
- Your logo and footer text
- Combined bills at the counter
- Cash drawer support

Frequently asked questions
Which thermal printers work with Tezzu?
Any standard ESC/POS thermal printer in 58mm or 80mm width. That covers most printers sold for restaurant billing in India. If your printer already prints bills from another system, it will almost certainly work here. You can run one printer for everything or separate ones for the kitchen and the counter.
Does the KOT print automatically?
Yes, if you turn on auto-print. The ticket prints the moment an order is confirmed, with a sound alert so the kitchen notices. If you prefer to look at each order first, keep auto-print off and print when you accept. Either way the order also shows in the dashboard and the staff app.
Can I print a GST bill for the customer?
Yes. Customer bills print separately from the KOT, with your business details, the GST breakdown, your logo and a footer line you choose. For dine-in you can print a combined bill at the counter. Bills print for online-paid and cash orders alike, so the counter works the same way for every order.
Do I still need a POS?
For many small restaurants, no. Tezzu takes the order, prints the KOT, prints the GST bill and records the payment, which is what most owners use a POS for. If you already run a full POS with inventory and accounting, keep it for the counter and use Tezzu for WhatsApp, store page and QR orders.
Is printing included in the plan?
Yes. KOT and bill printing come with every plan, from ₹999 a month, with no separate printing module to buy. You pay the flat ₹10 per order and no commission. The only hardware cost is the printer itself, which you buy from any supplier.
