Rotating menus that change by weekday and time
Show breakfast items until 11 am, a different thali every weekday, and a weekend-only special, without editing the menu by hand. Set availability windows on categories and items, snooze an item that ran out, and the menu on WhatsApp and the store page updates on its own.
- Weekday and time windows on categories and items
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus switch on their own
- Snooze an item when it runs out
- Same schedule on WhatsApp and the store page
How it works
- 1
Set a window
On a category or an item, pick the weekdays and the time range it is available. Breakfast: every day, 7 to 11 am. Thursday thali: Thursdays only.
- 2
The menu follows the clock
Outside the window the item disappears from the chat bot and the store page. Inside it, it returns. Nothing to toggle at 11 am.
- 3
Rotate week by week
Plan rotations for tiffin and meal plans, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, and Tezzu switches to the right week automatically.
- 4
Snooze when you run out
Sold out of biryani at 2 pm? Snooze the item and it disappears from the menu for the time you choose, then returns on its own.
Windows on categories and items
Schedule a whole category, such as Breakfast, or a single item, such as a Friday-only fish curry. Weekdays and time ranges combine, so an item can be Monday to Friday, 12 to 3 pm.
- Weekday selection per category or item
- Start and end time per window
- Items outside their window are hidden, not deleted
- Edit any time; changes apply straight away
Rotating menus for meal plans
Tiffin services and meal-box kitchens change what goes into a meal week to week. Plan the rotation once and the right week switches on by itself, so customers always see this week's dishes.
- Weekly rotations on a cycle you choose
- Combine with weekday windows for day-wise meals
- Add a note where a day differs
- Customers see the current week inside each meal
Snooze and sold out
Running out mid-service is normal. Snooze hides an item for now without touching its schedule; the availability toggle does the same until you switch it back.
- Snooze from the dashboard in one tap
- Availability toggle for any item
- Schedule stays intact when you snooze
- Works for dine-in, delivery and pickup menus
Guides on menu scheduling
Run a daily changing menu for a tiffin service without typing it each morning: set each dish's weekday once and customers see today's menu by themselves.
Breakfast menu timing for online ordering: set the items that switch off at 11am by weekday and hour, so nobody orders poha at noon and nobody calls to cancel.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show a different menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
Yes. Put each set of items in its own category and give the category a time window: breakfast 7 to 11 am, lunch 12 to 3 pm, dinner 7 to 11 pm. Customers on WhatsApp and the store page only see what is available right now. Items without a window stay visible all day.
How do rotating menus work for a tiffin service?
Plan your rotation once, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, with the dishes for each day inside each meal. Tezzu switches to the right week automatically, and customers see this week's dishes when they order. Combine it with weekday windows if Monday and Friday meals differ, and add a note where a day changes.
What happens to an order placed just before the window closes?
The order goes through as normal. Scheduling controls what a customer can add to the cart; it does not cancel orders already placed. If you want ordering to stop a little before the kitchen stops cooking an item, end its window ten or fifteen minutes early.
Is menu scheduling the same as scheduled delivery?
No. Menu scheduling decides when an item appears on the menu. Scheduled delivery and pre-orders let a customer order now for a later slot. The two are set up separately: one on the category or item, the other in your delivery and pickup settings. Both apply on WhatsApp and the store page.
What does snooze do?
Snooze hides an item from the menu for a while without changing its schedule or deleting it. Use it when you run out mid-service or when a dish is not ready yet. When the snooze ends the item returns on its own, so you do not have to remember to switch it back on.
