Tips for sending these on WhatsApp

• Watch the sky, not the calendar. Keep the message ready in your campaign tool and send it the moment it starts raining in the areas you deliver to. If your city gets rain in one half and sun in the other, send by delivery zone.
• Quote the real delivery time. If riders are taking 45 minutes, say 45 minutes. A monsoon customer forgives a slow delivery that was announced and remembers a fast one that was promised and missed.
• Use a free-delivery threshold instead of a flat discount. It lifts the order size on days when riders are slow anyway; see what minimum order to set.

When should I send a monsoon offer message?

On rainy afternoons between 3:30 and 5:30 pm, when the craving for a hot snack is strongest and dinner is not decided yet. Send only when it is actually raining in the delivery area, and no more than twice a week to the same customer even in peak monsoon. What food sells best in a monsoon offer?

Fried snacks and hot drinks lead: pakoras, bhutta, samosa, cutting chai and masala chai. Soups, khichdi and dal-rice work for dinner because they travel well and still taste right after a slow delivery. Avoid anything that goes soggy in a closed box, such as crisp dosa or thin-crust pizza, unless you have packaging that handles steam.

How do I handle delivery delays during heavy rain?

Message every customer with an active order before they message you. State the new time, say the food is packed and sealed, and offer pickup as an option. If an area is waterlogged, pause delivery for that zone and keep pickup on rather than cancelling orders. A delay that is announced early rarely turns into a complaint; a silent delay almost always does.
