Holi offer and greeting messages

A Holi wishes message for customers does two jobs: it keeps your number friendly, and in the days before the festival it sells gujiya, thandai, snack boxes and party platters to people who would rather not spend Holi morning in the kitchen. Sweet shops, restaurants, cloud kitchens and home cooks send these in the week before Holi, on Holika Dahan evening, on the day itself, and the day after when everyone is tired and hungry. The one thing that makes them work is honesty about timings. Most delivery stops or slows on Holi morning, and a message that says exactly when you are open gets far more orders than one that only says "Happy Holi".

Send the first pre-order message five to seven days before Holi and the greeting on the morning itself with no offer. Say clearly which hours you deliver on Holi day, or that you are closed, and when the last order for pre-orders is. Keep each message to one product or one offer, under four lines. Any message that sells is marketing and needs an opt-out line, sent only to customers who agreed to receive messages. The discounts here are yours; set them to what your margins allow.

Tips for sending these on WhatsApp

• Say your Holi day hours in every message that week. Customers plan around whether you deliver on the morning itself, and an unclear answer costs you the order.
• Take gujiya and platter orders as scheduled orders with a date and a pickup or delivery slot, so the kitchen knows what is due the day before Holi. On Tezzu, self-pickup points with a collection time keep the counter calm.

What should I write in a Holi message to customers?

On the day, a short wish with your name, a thank you, and your opening hours, with no offer. In the days before, a message that names one product, its price, the last date to order, and how it reaches the customer, plus an opt-out line. Keep both to four lines. A clear timing line does more for orders than any festive wording.

Should I deliver on Holi day?

Only if you can do it reliably. Many riders are off and roads are messy in the morning, so a limited window such as 1pm to 9pm with a short menu is safer than a full day you cannot keep. If you close, say so a day earlier and take advance orders for the next day. The post-Holi message tends to bring more orders than Holi day itself.

When should Holi pre-order messages go out?

Five to seven days before Holi for gujiya, thandai and platters, with a deadline reminder two days before. Holika Dahan snacks go out three days before that evening. The greeting is on Holi morning, and the tired-of-cooking message the next day. That is five messages at most to the same person across ten days, which is as many as the week can take.
