Weekend offer messages

A weekend offer message goes out from a restaurant, cafe or cloud kitchen on Thursday evening or Friday afternoon, when customers are deciding what the weekend looks like. The one thing that makes it work is a reason to order this weekend rather than some other time: a dish that is only on the menu for two days, a price that ends Sunday night, or a family-size portion that solves Saturday dinner. A message that only says "we are open this weekend" gets read and forgotten by Friday night.

Keep it to three to five lines with one offer per message. Name the days, the hours, the minimum order if there is one, and the link to order. Send only to customers who have ordered from you and agreed to receive offers, and end every message with an opt-out line. Thursday 6 to 8 pm or Friday 4 to 6 pm are the usual windows; one send per weekend is enough, with at most one reminder on Sunday. Tips for sending these on WhatsApp

• Send Thursday evening or Friday afternoon. By Saturday noon most families have already decided what the weekend looks like.
• One offer, one link, one deadline. Two offers in the same message halve the response to each, and the customer has to think instead of tap.
• Set the coupon to auto-apply at checkout on your store page so nobody fails at the code step; keep the code in the message for people who order by chat. The offer message ideas list has more angles if weekends start to feel samey.

What is the best time to send a weekend offer message?

Thursday between 6 and 8 pm, or Friday between 4 and 6 pm. People are winding down the working week and planning meals, and the message is still fresh when they open WhatsApp on Saturday. Sunday evening works for a short reminder about an offer that ends that night. Avoid Saturday afternoon sends, when most people have already eaten or ordered.

How often can I send weekend offers without annoying customers?

Once per weekend, with at most one reminder on Sunday, is the pace most restaurants can hold without losing opt-ins. If the same customers get a weekend message every Friday for two months, change the offer each time: a dish one week, free delivery the next, a combo the week after. Repeating one offer trains people to wait for it and to ignore the message in between.

Do I need customer consent to send weekend offers on WhatsApp?
