A flash sale message is sent by a restaurant or cloud kitchen when it needs orders in the next few hours: a slow Tuesday, a batch that was cooked for an order that got cancelled, a rainy evening, or an opening day. It goes to opted-in customers and it says what is cheaper, by how much, and exactly when it ends. The one thing that makes it work is a real cut-off. If the price is still low at 9 pm after a "till 7 pm" message, nobody will hurry next time.
Keep it to three or four lines: the dish or the code, the sale price next to the regular price, the window, the link. Cap the sale with a time or a quantity, whichever ends first, and make sure the kitchen can handle a spike in that window. Set the coupon's start and end time before you send so it expires on its own. One flash sale a week at most; weekly becomes expected and stops being a reason to act. Send only to customers who agreed to receive offers and end with an opt-out line. The broadcast guide covers the mechanics of sending to a large list at once.

- Keep the window short and the cut-off real. Two to four hours is a flash sale; a whole day is an offer, and it should be written as one.
- Cap it with a quantity or a time, whichever ends first, and tell the kitchen before you press send. A flash sale that brings 60 orders into a 40-order kitchen produces late deliveries and the reviews that follow.
- Create the coupon with a start and end time so it expires by itself. On Tezzu, a coupon can be set to auto-apply at checkout during its window, which keeps chat orders and store page orders on the same price.
- One flash sale a week at most, and not on the same day each week. The marketing mistakes guide lists what gets a number reported, and daily "urgent" messages are near the top.
- Count orders in the window against a normal day at the same time, and check the margin after the discount and the per-order costs. The campaign ROI guide shows how to read the numbers.
Frequently asked questions
How do I run a flash sale on WhatsApp?
Pick one dish or one code, decide the window and the cap, and set the price change or coupon on your store page with a start and end time. Send one message to opted-in customers at the start of the window, naming the sale price next to the regular price and the exact end time. Send a short reminder an hour before the end if orders are slow. When it ends or sells out, say so, and leave the regular price untouched.
Does a flash sale hurt regular pricing?
Only when it becomes predictable. A sale that appears on random days, on one item, for a couple of hours, reads as a one-off and does not change what customers expect to pay. A sale every Friday at 6 pm teaches the list to wait for Friday. Keep flash sales rare, rotate the item, and put the regular price in the message so the normal number stays in people's heads.
What is the best time to send a flash sale message?
At the moment the window opens, 60 to 90 minutes before the meal it is meant for. A lunch flash sale goes out at 11:30 am; a dinner one at 6:30 pm. Earlier than that and people forget; later and they have already eaten or ordered. Weather sales go out as soon as the rain starts, because that is when the decision to stay in gets made.
