Tips for sending these on WhatsApp

• Ask for the date once and say what you will do with it. Customers share a birthday happily when they know it means one message a year and nothing else. Getting opt-in without annoying people covers the wording.
• Send in the morning. A wish that arrives at 10pm on the day is too late to turn into a dinner order.
• Give the offer a week, not a day. Birthdays are busy, and most of the orders come two or three days later.
