Tezzu Pricing Explained: Plans, the 10 Rupee Order Fee and What Is Free

Tezzu pricing has three parts and no surprises. You pick a monthly plan, Starter at ₹999, Growth at ₹1,999 or Enterprise at ₹3,999, you pay a flat ₹10 on every order that comes through, and that is it. There is no commission on order value, no order limit, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Yearly billing takes ₹100 a month off the plan price.

This post explains each of those parts, lists what is included free, is honest about what costs extra, and runs the numbers against aggregator commission so you can see what it means for your restaurant. If you are comparing several platforms, the guide to the best WhatsApp ordering software for restaurants puts Tezzu alongside the others.

The three plans

PlanMonthly billingYearly billing (per month)Per orderOrdersTrial
Starter₹999₹899₹10Unlimited7 days
Growth₹1,999₹1,899₹10Unlimited7 days
Enterprise₹3,999₹3,899₹10Unlimited7 days

The plans differ in features, not in order volume. Every plan takes unlimited orders at the same ₹10. The pricing page lists exactly which features sit on which plan; as one example, WhatsApp Status posting and Click-to-WhatsApp ads are part of Growth. Pick the plan by the features you need, then let the order count fall where it falls.

For merchants in the United States, the equivalent plans are $49, $69 and $99 a month plus $0.50 per order, billed through Stripe. The details are in Tezzu for US merchants.

The ₹10 per order fee, explained

Every order that comes through Tezzu, whether from the WhatsApp bot, the store page, a dine-in QR table or a pickup point, carries a flat ₹10 charge. It is the same ₹10 on a ₹150 chai-and-samosa order and on a ₹2,500 party order. It does not change with payment method: UPI, card and cash on delivery all count as one order at ₹10.

Compare that with a commission model. Zomato and Swiggy commission is commonly 18 to 30 percent of order value. At 20 percent, a ₹400 order costs ₹80. On Tezzu it costs ₹10, and on a ₹800 order it still costs ₹10 while the commission would be ₹160. The flat fee is the whole point: the platform's cost does not grow with your ticket size, so you keep the margin on your bigger orders.

Two practical notes. First, on very small orders the ₹10 is a larger share of the bill, which is one reason many restaurants set a minimum order value for delivery. Second, the per-order charges are billed against your account, visible in the dashboard, and itemised on your invoice; there is no separate commission statement because there is no commission. The comparison of platform fees, commission and per-order fees is useful if you want to see the three models side by side.

What is free

  • The store page. Every merchant gets an online store at tezzu.in/store/your-name with a web menu, at no extra cost. You can connect your own domain.
  • The WhatsApp Business API connection. Tezzu handles the connection through Meta's embedded signup. You keep your own number and there is no setup charge for the connection.
  • Unlimited orders. No plan has an order cap, so there is no tier you are pushed into because you got busy.
  • The 7-day trial. Every plan starts with it, so you can connect your number, build the menu and take real orders before paying.
  • Ordering chats. The prepaid wallet is only for campaign broadcasts you send out. An order placed in chat costs the flat ₹10, however many messages it took.
  • Dashboard, staff app, roles. The live dashboard with orders, revenue and customer insights, the staff app with alerts and spoken announcements, and staff roles are part of the platform.

What costs extra, and why

A pricing post that only lists the good news is not much use. These are the costs beyond the plan and the ₹10.

WhatsApp campaign messages

When you send a broadcast, a win-back offer or a festival promo, Meta charges a per-conversation rate for those template messages. Tezzu does not absorb that; you top up a prepaid wallet and campaigns draw from it. The rates are Meta's and change from time to time. The post on WhatsApp marketing cost in India explains how conversation charges work and how to budget for them.

Payment gateway charges

Online payments run through Razorpay, and Razorpay's standard gateway charges apply to UPI and card payments as they would on any platform. If you connect your own Razorpay account, Tezzu charges zero platform fee on online payments, so what you pay on a payment is Razorpay's rate and nothing else. Setting that up is covered in bring your own Razorpay. Cash on delivery has no gateway charge.

Ad spend

Click-to-WhatsApp ads on Growth send ad clicks into your ordering chat. The ad budget itself is paid to Meta, not to Tezzu.

Hardware and shipping

A thermal printer for KOTs and bills is something you buy once from any supplier. If you ship packaged food through the Shiprocket integration, courier charges are Shiprocket's.

Worked examples against commission

Three restaurants, each moving its repeat customers to direct ordering. Commission is taken at 20 percent as a round middle figure within the commonly reported 18 to 30 percent range; your contract will differ.

Monthly direct ordersAverage billTezzu planTezzu total per monthSame orders at 20% commission
150₹300Starter ₹999₹999 + ₹1,500 = ₹2,499₹9,000
600₹450Growth ₹1,999₹1,999 + ₹6,000 = ₹7,999₹54,000
2,000₹500Enterprise ₹3,999₹3,999 + ₹20,000 = ₹23,999₹2,00,000

The comparison is not a claim that every aggregator order can become a direct order. Aggregators bring discovery that a direct channel does not, and most restaurants keep both. The point is narrower: for the customers who already know you, the cost of serving them directly is a fixed plan plus ₹10 each, and that number is small next to a percentage of the bill.

How billing shows up in your Tezzu dashboard

When you register, you choose a plan and the 7-day trial begins. You connect your WhatsApp number, build the menu and start taking orders during the trial. Billing begins when the trial ends, and you can see the date in the dashboard.

The billing page shows your plan and its renewal date, the per-order charges accumulated for the period, your campaign wallet balance with its top-up history, and your invoices. Per-order charges are listed as a count and a total, so a month with 420 orders shows ₹4,200. If you are on yearly billing, the plan line shows the discounted rate. There is no commission line, no hidden adjustment and no separate settlement statement to reconcile. The mechanics of the wallet, invoices and per-order charges are covered in more depth in Tezzu billing explained.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tezzu charge commission?

No. Tezzu charges a monthly plan and a flat ₹10 per order. There is no percentage of order value on any plan, any order size or any payment method. The only percentage you pay anywhere in the flow is the payment gateway's standard charge on online payments, which goes to Razorpay, and if you connect your own Razorpay account there is no platform fee on top of that.

Is there a free plan?

No. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, during which you can connect your number, build your menu and take real orders. After the trial, the plan you chose is billed monthly or yearly. The store page, the WhatsApp API connection and unlimited orders are included in every plan rather than sold as extras.

What is the cheapest way to run Tezzu?

Starter on yearly billing is ₹899 a month, plus ₹10 per order. Connect your own Razorpay account so online payments carry no platform fee, offer cash on delivery for customers who prefer it, and keep campaign messages targeted so the prepaid wallet goes further. A restaurant doing 100 direct orders a month would pay about ₹1,899 a month all in on that setup.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. Plans are picked by feature set rather than order volume, so you move up when you need a feature such as Click-to-WhatsApp ads on Growth, and the per-order fee stays ₹10 on every plan. Check the pricing page for the current feature list on each plan before choosing, and start on the one that covers what you need today.
